Disposition | Arrived off Cleveland in tow of propeller C.W. ELPHICKE, with cargo of iron ore, from Escanaba, MI, on May 28, 1906. After line was picked up by tug T.C. LUTZ, took a heavy sea over bow, filled, and sank at daybreak one and one-half miles west of Cleveland harbor entrance. Crew rescued by tugs LUTZ and WILLIAM KENNEDY, with one life being lost. Vessel valued at $22,000, cargo at $7,500, for a total of $29,500. |
