Commissioned on October 27, 1941. Reclassified AN-29 on January 20, 1944. Decommissioned on February 11, 1958, and placed in reserve fleet at Green Cove Springs, FL. Stricken from Navy List on September 1, 1962 and transferred to U.S. Maritime Commission, still in reserve.
Disposition Sold on January 23, 1974, to Boston Metals Co., Baltimore, MD, for $17,666.66, for scrapping.
