Vessel History

Rebuilds Canadian measures, 1922 (249.25 x 41.75 x 15.25; 1642 gross - 963 net). Reconstructed for sand and gravel service; converted to self-unloader, 1927 (1643 gross - 963 registered). Received pilothouse from scrapped Canadian steamer COLLIER in 1960.
History Released on December 10, 1963 by P.E. Larose of Williamsburg, Ont., and pulled into shallow water. Gutted by fire in May, 1964. Scrapped there in shallow water.Was taken to Atlantic Coast in 1903. Returned to Lakes in summer, 1921.
As ARAGON (U.S.): Stranded on Wickes Point, Lake Ontario, on November 7, 1921; released and surrendered to underwriters. Sold into Canadian registry.
Disposition Stranded in Bay of Quinte, Lake Ontario, off Belleville, Ont., on December 1, 1962. After spending winter there, released to underwriters as constructive total loss. See memo.
