Vessel History
- Rebuilds: Rig changed to barge, 1915.
- History: Barge drifted onto a shoal about ten miles northwest of Presque Isle Light, and several hours later sank. Crew was rescued by USCG MORRILL.
- Disposition: While in tow of tug HENRY E. GILLEN, and bound from Ashtabula, OH, for Welland, Ontario, with coal, attempted to head in for Erie, PA, and shelter, during gale on November 13, 1915. Tow line fouled the tug's propeller and snapped; (see memo.)
