Vessel History

History As HUDSON TRANSPORT: Caught fire off Matane, Quebec, in the St. Lawrence River on December 25, 1981 following an explosion. She was carrying 40,000 barrels of Bunker \"C\" from Montreal for the Magdalin Islands. Seven crewmen were dead or missing and 14 were rescued. The fire was brought under control the following two days.She was towed into Baie Comeau on Dec. 27. Cargo (7000 tons crude oil) was not affected. Repair estimated to be $1-2 million.
Disposition Arrived at Rameys Bend, Port Colborne, Ontario, in tow, May 29, 1985.
