Rebuilds Rebuilt by Detroit Dry Dock Co. in winter, 1891-1892 (249.75 x 38.16 x 20.75; 1660 gross - 1274 net).
History First enrolled, Cleveland, OH, on April 26, 1884. As KASOTA: Sunk in collision with steamer CITY OF CLEVELAND, July 19, 1890, one mile above Smith's Coal Dock, near the entrance to River Rouge, Detroit River; one life lost. Vessel raised in the fall, 1891, and taken to Detroit Dry Dock Co. for complete rebuilding. Final enrollment surrendered at Cleveland, OH, on December 18, 1903.

Wreckage located in Lake Superior, in 2001, by a shipwreck research crew from the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point.
Disposition Foundered four miles north of Grand Marais, MI, Lake Superior, September 19, 1903, after springing a leak in a northwest gale. Crew rescued by U.S. Life Saving crew from Grand Marais; no lives lost. Vessel was downbound with cargo of iron ore.
