Built as S2-S2-AQ1 class frigate under U.S. Maritime Commission contract. Served with PERT (PG-95) and ACTION (PG-86) in Anti-submarine patrol off Casco Bay, ME, in April, 1945, then on North African convoy escort duty to June, 1945. Converted to weather patrol vessel at Charleston, SC, in June 1945. Served as weather ship out of Argentia, Newfoundland, June - October, 1945. Decommissioned at Boston, MA, October 25, 1945.
- Disposition: Sold on June 6, 1946, for scrapping.
