Vessel History

History Built as auto ferry for service between Mackinaw City and St. Ignace, MI. Laid up in 1957, after opening of Straits bridge.Reportedly sold to Herold S. Harding, of Cleveland, OH, in August, 1968, for $27,100, but deal fell through.
Disposition Scrapping reduced the car ferry down to the main decks as of October, 1980. (Chips, Nov. 8, 1980). Plans are being made to sink the hull for a dive site (2001).
