History Was chartered in December 1874, to Detroit and Milwaukee. Railroad to run between Grand Haven and Milwaukee as part of Engleman Line.Received first enrollment at Detroit, MI, June 20, 1873.
Disposition Struck the south pier at Grand Haven, MI., on October 28, 1879, stranded and became total loss; no lives lost. Carried cargo of 900 tons of flour, pork, and sundries, and 68 persons. Vessel valued at $150,000; cargog at $100,000. Was under command of Captain James Fraser.
