As CANADIAN PROSPECTOR: Ran aground near the Haskell Shoals while upbound on the St. Lawrence River on April 8, 1980. She was freed after two days and after temporary repairs were made, she proceeded to Hamilton, Ontario. A further inspection revealed five longitudinal cracks on her starboard side. Repairs were made at Port Weller Dry Docks. As she was westbound she grounded 200 feet below Sillery Wharf, Quebec on September 7, 1981. |
