As CITY OF CLEVELAND III: While on cruise with Benton Harbor (MI) Chamber of Commerce, was in collision in fog with Norwegian freighter RAVNEFJELL off Harbor Beach, MI, Lake Huron, on June 25, 1950. Five passengers were killed. Vessel never sailed again.
||After being laid up at Detroit, MI, 1950-1954, sold to Ventimiglia Demolition Co., Detroit, MI, and moved across river to Sandwich, Ontario, for dismantling. Hull was scheduled for conversion to crane barge for use in building St. Lawrence Seaway.
