History As CITY OF DETROIT: Collided with and sank propeller KASOTA, July 17, 1890, at head of Fighting Island, Detroit River. CITY OF DETROIT made the Detroit Dry Dock Co. shipyard at Detroit before settling by the bow. Raised and repaired.
Disposition Abandoned in 1940. Engines reportedly removed in 1948; hull abandoned at head of Bob-Lo Island, Detroit River, where it burned at a later date.
