Rebuilds Tonnage change, January 19, 1901, Duluth, MN (1879 gross - 1526 net). Converted to sand dredge in 1938 (1445 gross - 1206 net). Reconstructed and repowered, 1948.
History As GRIFFIN: Ran aground, August 17, 1929, at Wells, MI, near Escanaba; released next day after lightering of lumber cargo by FAVORITE and RELIEF.Arrived at Soo, midnight, September 17, 1929, having had two deck cranes washed overboard and suffered other damage during storm on Lake Superior; bound for Buffalo.
Disposition Spring, 1970, sold to Marine Salvage, Ltd., Port Colborne, Ont. Removed from documentation, September/October, 1970, as \"sold to British flag.\" Scrapped at Humberstone, Ont., 1971.
