As NIPIGON BAY: Struck Whaleback Shoals while upbound in the St. Lawrence River, about eighteen miles above Ogdensburg, NY, on October 16, 1980, tearing at least one hole in her hull. After temporary repairs were made, she proceeded to Thunder Bay, Ontario. |
