History As MATOA: Stranded on Pointe Aux Barques, MI, Lake Huron, on November 10, 1913, during \"Big Storm.\" Had cargo of coal, Toledo, OH, for Hancock, MI; no lives lost. Vessel was surrendered to underwriters and valued at $117,900; insured for $112,000. Floated the following spring, 1914, by Reid Wrecking Co., of Sarnia, Ontario.Towed to Atlantic Coast after being cut in half by Port Huron Shipbuilding Co., Port Huron, MI, in spring, 1915.
Disposition Scrapped at Midland, Ontario, in 1937.
