Rebuilds Tonnage change, 1923 (4625 gross - 3735 net). Converted to repair ship, 1943, by Boland Machine & Manufacturing Works, New Orleans, LA (4223 gross - 3599 net). Converted to fish reduction plant by Albina Engineering & Machine Works, Portland, OR, 1948.
History As W.J. CONNERS: Aground six miles east of Erie, PA, Lake Erie, on June 20, 1939.Taken to Gulf Coast, 1942, via Mississippi River and placed on supply run between San Francisco - Alaska. After conversion to repair ship, in 1943, taken to Pacific Theatre of War; was first U.S. vessel into Manila after its recapture in 1944.
Disposition Scrapped in 1957.
