History Vessel received temporary enrollment at Cape Vincent, NY, on May 27, 1887, and endorsed \"wrecked in U.S. waters.\" First permanent enrollment issued at Buffalo, NY, on June 28, 1887.Burned off Sanilac, MI, Lake Huron, June 20, 1893; crew abandoned vessel and picked up by propeller KALKASKA. Hulk towed into Port Huron, MI, by propeller DESMOND. Machinery removed and final enrollment surrendered at Port Huron, October 25, 1893, and endorsed \"total wreck.\" Hulk still in Black River as late as July, 1912.
