History Arrived at Hamilton, Ont., week of April 10, 1967, from lower St. Lawrence River port with iron ore on maiden voyage.As RICHELIEU: An explosion and fire on February 18, 1983 kills 3. Stanley Humar, Gary McDonald, and Steve Elsey, of Thunder Bay, Ontario were working on the bow of the 730-foot vessel. No immediate cause of the explosion and fire was determined, but oxygen acetyline torches apparently were being used.
Disposition Bound for Aliaga, Turkey, to be scrapped, 2012.
