Vessel History

History Commissioned on April 14, 1941. Decommissioned at Portsmouth, NH; arrived at Cleveland, OH, via Chicago Canal, on November 28, 1948, to serve as naval reserve training vessel. Replaced in July, 1959, by USS COD (SS-224).
Disposition Stricken from Navy List on May 29, 1959. Sold on November 18, 1959, to Acme Scrap Iron & Metal Co. for scrapping at Ashtabula, OH.
