Vessel History

History Commissioned on March 22, 1945.Built as C1-M-AV1 class cargo vessel under U.S. Maritime Commission contract. Classified AK-206 on February 25, 1944. Acquired on loan-charter basis from Maritime Commission on February 28, 1945. Reclassified AG 94 on March 12, 1945. After commissioning on March 22, 1945, arrived at Pearl Harbor on April 18, 1945. Reclassified AVS 7 on May 25, 1945.
Arrived at Guiuan, Samar, Philippine Islands, on July 8, 1945, and provided aviation stores on station through end of war. Decommissioned and delivered to Maritime Commission at San Francisco, CA, on April 26, 1946. Stricken from Navy Register on May 8, 1946.
Disposition Sold to Spanish shipbreakers for 32,500 pounds; departed Port de Bouc, October 21, 1968, and arrived at Valencia prior to November 1, 1968, for scrapping.
