Rebuilds Reconstructed by American Ship Building Co., Lorain, OH, in 1914. Converted to self-unloader in 1928 (Lake Carriers Bulletin, May 1928, p.6) (423.66 x 50 x 28; 4539 gross - 3503 net).
History As SINALOA: Drifted onto reef in Sac Bay, off Garden Peninsula, when anchor cable parted during \"Armistice Day\"
storm of November 11, 1940.
As STONEFAX: Sunk in collision with Norwegian freighter ARTHUR
STOVE, between Locks 7 and 8, in Welland Canal, October 14,
1966. Raised on November 27, 1966, and taken to Port Weller
Dry Dock, Ltd., for repairs.
Grounded below Port Lambton, Ont., St. Clair River, on May 18,
1970. Released by tug AMHERSTBURG after lightering.
Disposition Sold to United Metals, Ltd., Hamilton, Ont., in Spring, 1971. Towed from Hamilton for Quebec, May 28, 1971, by tug DANIEL MCALLISTER. Cleared Quebec in tandem tow with ALEXANDER LESLIE, in tow of Polish tug JANTAR, May 31, 1971. Arrived at Santander, Spain, on June 19, 1971, for scrapping.
