Collided with propeller JOHN MCCARTNEY KENNEDY in Whitefish Bay, Lake Superior, in fog on October 11, 1923; $5,000 damage.
Disposition Foundered fifteen miles south of Isle Royale Light Station, Lake Superior, on May 11, 1953; seventeen lives lost. Vessel downbound from Superior, WI, with iron ore. Sixteen lives saved by propellers WILFRED SYKES, JOSEPH H. THOMPSON, D.M. CLEMSON, D.G. KERR, WILLIAM E. COREY, and HOCHELAGA.
