History Caught in gale 760 miles off Azores, in ballast, England for Canada, on October 17, 1915, lost rudder. Crew rescued by steamer ARIEL and vessel scuttled. Recovered in 1916.In collision with steamer GLENCOE in British waters in July, 1916; rebuilt at Middlesborough, Great Britain.
Disposition Sunk by bomb after being stopped by German submarine, April 13, 1917, 145 miles WNW of Ronaldshay; nine lives lost. On voyage, Tyne for Marseille at time of loss.
