Vessel History

History Built as a \"Dominion\" class dry cargo vessel; delivered on August 29, 1945. After sale to Cubans, vessel arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, on November 23, 1957, and was laid up. She was dropped from Canadian registry, but never was operated by Cuban owners, going directly to Bilbao from Halifax in January, 1965.
Disposition Arrived in tow at Bilbao, Spain, on January 27, 1965, along with CANADIAN HIGHLANDER; departed there in tow on August 18, 1965, and arrived at Santander, Spain, the next day for scrapping.
