FRANZ, Novemer 21, 1934, about thirty miles southeast of Thunder Bay Island, MI, Lake Huron; four lives lost on FRANZ. LOOMIS suffered extensive bow damage and had engine knocked from foundation.
Disposition After lying idle at Buffalo, NY, from 1937 to 1940, vessel was scrapped at Hamilton, Ontario in 1940 by Steel Co. of Canada.
