Vessel History

Rebuilds Rebuilt in 1940 (78.42 x 19.75 x 8.42; 85 gross - 58 net). Rebuilt and converted to diesel at Ashtabula, OH, and Bay City, MI, 1965-1966.
History Built as fire tug. Vessel not documented until 1903. Reportedly sold to L.A. Wells Construction Co., Cleveland, OH, in 1957. Engine and boiler removed by Stadium Boat Works, Cleveland. Hull later removed to Old River Bed, Cleveland, then to Ashtabula, OH, where rebuilding was resumed. Estate of L.A. Wells reportedly had a $10,000 lien against work. Tug hull towed from Ashtabula to Bay City in summer, 1966.
Removed from documentaton, July, 1965; redocumented, December 1967.
Disposition Out of documentation between 1982-1988.
