Vessel History

Rebuilds Received new reservoir section at Marine Industries, Ltd., winter 1978-1979. New tank section approximately eighteen feet longer than original, resulting in increased capacity. Estimated cost of job $4 million. Vessel \"re-launched\" about June 2, 1979. (hull #443 for bow and reservoir section).

As EDOUARD SIMARD: Suffered damage to steering gear and bow in ice on Lake Huron; April, 1971. Repairs made by Port Weller Dry Docks, Ltd., St. Catharines, Ont.
Blown into German tanker ST. JACOBI at Berth 103, East Montreal, July 7, 1973, denting two shell plates on the latter.
Suffered bow damage on August 6, 1974, when struck a wharf at Section 53, Quebec City; repairs made at Sorel, P.Q.
Went aground while leaving Allied Chemical in Amherstburg Channel on December 7, 1979. After lightering about 1200 tons of her cargo, she was freed on December 12.
Disposition No longer registered in Canada.
